The MOST Important Question to ask your planner

I was doing some research, well, let me be more honest, I have hired a wonderful woman and future bride, named Jungah, to help me with my social media.  One of the items she posted was about questions to ask your planner.

It had a link to a very comprehensive list:

Are you insured? – yes
Is this your full time job? – yes
How many weddings have you planned? – Lots – I’ve lost count
What happens if you are ill on our wedding day? – I always have a backup plan
I have seen multiple variations of this list, and not one of them has the MOST IMPORTANT question:

Do you love your job?

This is really the most important question, because you want the person who is helping you with one of the most important day of your life to really be into their job.

So I want to be very clear, YES, I REALLY LOVE MY JOB!!!

In fact, for me, it is more of a passion than a job.  I can’t even describe how when I wake up in the morning and my night-owl bride has sent me 8 emails, I smile, even before coffee.  When my long distance bride is too busy to call me, I will get up in the very early in the morning to have a catch-up call during her commute.

When the wedding day finally comes around after months to a year of planning, I am almost as excited as the couple. My favorite moment at a wedding is right before the bride walks down the aisle, I always tear up, I just can’t help it, joy transcends.

Well, I could continue this love story about my love of being a wedding planner, but I have to get back to work, I mean, my passion!

So remember, when looking for any kind of wedding help, you should definitely ask the most important question, you know what it is!

All About THE JOY!!!

ALL ABOUT THE JOY

What is the first thing you think of when throwing a wedding or special event?

Music?  Food? Cocktails? Theme?

What about how people are going to feel at your party?

What do you think when you see this picture?

Of all the events I have done this is hands down one of my favorite pictures, I feel like it captures the pure happiness of the day, this guest has just decided to let go and have a wonderful time.

When I see this image it makes me smile and feel good inside, almost like the photo itself radiates joy.

This fabulous photo was taken by one of my favorite photographers, Sam, of Bowerbird Photography.  If you don’t know this fabulous photography team, check out their work here.
